William Bud Lundberg
Obituary
Mr. William (Bill) B Lundberg, age 91, of Dahlonega, Georgia,passed away Tuesday January 17, 2023. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois November 14,1931 to the late William S. Lundberg and Jennie Lundberg.
Mr. Bill served in the US Army and was deployed into the combat zone during the Korean War, where he maintained communications systems and rail stations. He was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church in Cumming, Georgia. He was a member of the Lion’s Club and for years helped place memorial makers along our roadways to honor those who served this country in the military.
He is survived by Sandra J. Lundberg, spouse of 51 years, sister-in-law, Barbara Schaffer, brother-in-law, Larry Schaffer, niece, Kimberly Payne, nephew, Christopher Payne, great-nephew, Tristan Payne, great-niece, Jordan Payne.
Close friends Mr. and Mrs. Lundberg wanted mentioned are Tom and Pat Braswell, Debra Fuller, Velma Finley, Rodney and Debbie Harris, and Jessie Payne.
Mr. Lundberg was laid to rest in a private ceremony, Saturday, January 21, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Lundberg has requested donations to his favorite charities, Tunnels to Towers and St Jude’s Hospital.
