William Chandler Heriot of Dahlonega, GA passed away in his home on October 15, 2021 at the age of 29. Chandler was laid to rest on October 21, 2021 at the Dahlonega Funeral Home in a private memorial for family, officiated by Brian Haas.
Chandler was born on September 26, 1992 in Greenville, SC. Chandler lived in Dahlonega for most of his life and graduated from Lumpkin County High School in 2011. Chandler was a people person and anyone who interacted with Chandler loved him. His smile could light up a room and diffuse a tense situation instantly. Chandler’s family and friends would describe him as a gentle soul, empathetic, compassionate, forgiving, and comedic. Chandler loved watching and discussing sports, especially his Clemson Tigers and the Atlanta Falcons. He even aspired to be a sports writer and had a special gift for writing and expressing himself on paper. He spent time playing video games with his friends and his younger brothers, Cameron and Connor. Chandler would always take the time to listen and encourage his loved ones. If we could learn anything from Chandler’s life, it is that love should be given unconditionally. Chandler never withheld kindness or forgiveness—they were a part of who he was.
Chandler is survived by his mother Janet Funchess Anderson (Jimmy Anderson), his father Kirk Heriot, his brother Ryan Bley (Savannah and Chapman Bley), his sister Ashley Gift (Kevin Gift Jr.), his brother Cameron Heriot, and his brother Connor Heriot. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
