Randall (Pops) Powers was born in Atlanta, Ga on June 10, 1951. He was the youngest of five children born to Ivas and Thomas Powers. After finishing high school, he bravely and proudly served our country in the Vietnam War.
After serving his Country in the Army, he aspired to have a career in the Commercial paint contracting industry. After several years of learning the ins and outs of that trade, he ventured out on his own to start a business. He created a successful and thriving company and made sure his employees were taken care of and recognized for all their hard work.
Pops was a wonderful father to his two sons, Ryan and Randy. When Randy got married to Rita in 2008, he was very excited and supportive of them starting their life together. He has always been there for his family and helped countless others throughout his life. Pops truly lived up to the saying, "He would give you the shirt off his back."
It was nothing short of a blessing to have known him and to have had him in our lives. Everything he did in his life, was for his family, true example of a man who loved his family very much. He was a veteran who fought and loved our beautiful Country. He was overjoyed the day his granddaughter, Hailey Powers was born, and was so happy to hold her the day after she had come into this world. Pops will be truly and sorely missed.
