On April 12, 2023, at 3:16 a.m., The Lord called Rachel Michelle Manry into His presence.
Her life began on August 10, 1985, in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was an answer to prayer for her parents Daniel Harold and Mary Ann Hughes Davis. Six years later, she would become a big sister to Daniel Paul Davis.
Through her childhood, she attended Fairview Baptist Church and academy. She graduated in 2003.
In 2016, she met and married her loving husband William Matthew “Matt” Manry. Matt was a tremendous blessing to Rachel. He lovingly cared for her in the darkest hours and days of her illness.
She was blessed to be “stepmom” to Robbie Manry (8 years old) and Martin Meller (18 years old). Her nickname was Baby, which she received from Robbie, who always referred to her as such.
Rachel’s smile will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Gordon Davis (Pap Pap), and her maternal grandparents Edwin (Grandpa) and Mary Hughes (Grandma), and her cousin Glen Lee Davis II (G.L.).
Rachel leaves behind her loving husband Matt, her parents, her brother, many aunts and uncles, several cousins, friends, and “her boys.” Beside family and friends, she left her 9 dogs, 2 cats, a frog, 2 mice, and Scary the snake.
Matt reminded us of the promise of John 3:16 when he referred to the time of Rachel’s passing at 3:16 a.m.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16
