Mrs. Mary Jane Tolbert Moore, 77, of Dahlonega, GA went to be with the Lord on the morning of Thursday, January 13, 2022 following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Mary Jane was a native of Dahlonega, GA. She was born on September 11, 1944.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Leon Tolbert and Lena Belle Brown, her husband Goodman Hughes Moore, Jr., son Lewis Clark Moore, and siblings Ruby Satterfield, Dorothy Tolbert, Ralph Tolbert, Geraldine Grogan, Shirley Grizzle, Barbara Gazaway, Judy Sorenson, Ruth Lance, Linda Reece, William Tolbert, Mabel Trammel, brother-in-law Bobby Trammel, niece Diane Bridges, and nephew B.J.Trammel.
Survivors include sisters Caroline Sheriff of Dawsonville, GA and Margie Dillon of Dahlonega, GA; brothers Johnny Tolbert (Barbara) of Cleveland, GA and James Tolbert (Rita) of Dahlonega, GA; her daughters Cathy Moore Quillen (Matt) of Roswell, GA and Elizabeth Geraldine Moore of Hartwell, GA; son William Bryan Worthington (Michelle) of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren Andrew Moore (Cindy) of Dawsonville, GA; Amanda Avery (Zak) of Pine Mountain, GA; Matthew Quillen and David Quillen of Roswell, GA; Rachel Stephens (Shane) of Murrayville, GA; Ryan Oldham of Hartwell, GA; Tyler Worthington (Sara) of Dahlonega, GA; MaryBeth Worthington of Dahlonega, GA; Isabella Worthington of Flowery Branch, GA; great-granddaughters Ravan Moore of Dahlonega, GA and Caroline Avery of Pine Mountain, GA; great-grandsons Malachi Stephens, Elijah Stephens, and Jeremiah Stephens of Murrayville, GA; Carson Worthington of Dahlonega, GA and many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A visitation will be held at the Dahlonega Funeral Home, 20 Gibson Road, Dahlonega, GA 30533 on Friday January 21, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. with the funeral service following in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations payable through the Dahlonega Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
