Obituary

Marjorie Ann Renfro was born on August 13th, 1941 in Reedley CA to Erna (Hiebert) and Jacob Boldt making her the second generation to be born in America. Marjorie married Alan Renfro and this November 23rd they were to celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary. Marjorie was a seamstress and loved crocheting, she worked in craft stores and retired from Wal-Mart after 13 years in their craft department and as a cashier saying she worked there because she needed to support her habit. She had a passion for sewing/crocheting as well as most things crafty. Marjorie moved to Dahlonega GA with her husband, daughter, and son in law in July of 2017. Marjorie loved GA and living in the mountains, she had spent her whole life in CA and loved the festivals and adventures that GA offered. She loved visiting Helen with all the German structures, but said the food was high German and we are low German, but that didn’t stop her from going back.  She loved being apart of the Dahlonega Baptist Church sewing/quilting group and getting to hang out with the Dahlonega Homesteading group with her daughter doing crafts and canning. Marjorie loved to tell stories about all the farm animals her daughter and son in law have, and she especially loved when the various babies were born. She would reminisce of her growing up with farm animals and her fond memories of that time.
