LeaAnne Wynn Cox, age 58, passed away at her home on January 19, 2022 to be reunited with her precious son, Mason James Cox, who left us all way too soon. She was most recently a resident of Cumming, Georgia and was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky on January 6, 1964. In addition to Mason, she was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Betty Allen Wynn and one brother, David Wynn. She is survived by her oldest son, Cody Walker Cox and her granddog, Zekie; one sister, Katrina Wynn Blankenship (Terry)and one brother, Richard Wynn. Also surviving, are her nieces and nephews: Christopher, Angie, Jonathan, Nicolas, Taylor and Haley.
After pursuing different interests in a numberof vocations, LeaAnne found her love for real estate would give her a spectrum of opportunities in that field. Also, she flourished in the hospitality industry where she found so many of her life-long friendships. She had a heart of gold with a “never meet a stranger” personality and was kind, caring and selfless in all her relationships. LeaAnne was intensely devoted to giving and serving in her community.
If you knew LeaAnne, you knew that her greatest role was her role as Mom to Cody and Mason and being a homemaker. She was lovingly committed to creating a place everyone wanted to go to because of the never-ending appetizers, pizza rolls, blueberry salad and giant breakfasts! This brought her immeasurable contentment when the boys were growing up. Later in her life, joy was seeing Cody fulfill himself in his Navy life before going back to school to complete his Masters at Georgia Tech and watching Mason bring his love for life and helping others through his volunteer firefightingand cheering him on as #61 for the Tigers!
