George Anthony “Tony” Smith, age 45, of Commerce, GA went to walk with the Lord on Saturday, November 13, 2021. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden passing due to endocarditis.
At first glance of Tony, you might see a big guy with a smile on his face who loved his family, Georgia football, fishing, and his country. He was so much more than that. He was a humble man with an unyielding faith. He fiercely and unapologetically stood up for what he believed in. Though he stood taller than most, he was a man with a gentle heart and kind eyes. He had a magnetic personality that caused wonderful people to gravitate toward him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald “Skeet” and his mother, Robin. He is survived by his wife, Julie, his children, Cole and Camryn, his brothers, Aaron, Taylor, and Lucas, stepmother, Holly, and stepbrother, Michael, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who were very special to him.
There will be a Celebration of Life for immediate family and close friends held privately at a later date.
