Dorothy (Dot) Newcomb was born on January 28th 1936 in Rogersville, TN. She graduated from Rogersville High School. Following high school, she moved to Knoxville, TN with her sister Ann. She there met Frank Newcomb on a blind date who would later become the love of her life and husband of 65 years. They moved to Atlanta in 1960 and retired in Dahlonega where they have spent the last 33 years together.
She is survived by her husband Frank Newcomb, their two daughters Melisa Prater and husband John, Cindy Canales and husband Juan. Grandchildren Jennifer Johnson and husband Daniel, Shane Prater and wife Ashley, Cara Harmon and husband Blake, Josh and Marissa Canales. Great-grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Joseph Johnson and wife Alex, Rachel Prater, Johnathon Johnson, Zechariah Prater, Sarah Johnson, Gracianna Johnson, and Layla Harmon. Her sister Elsie Ringley, sister-in-law Margie Klepper, and nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her Mother and Father Llyod and Bertha Klepper, sister Ann Dupes, and brother Harlan Klepper.
She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Nana, Granny, sister, and friend who will be missed greatly. We thank God for the many wonderful years that the Lord blessed us with her. Her loving heart and soul, sense of humor, character, guidance, and good ole southern hospitality and class has made an everlasting impressions on so many loved ones hearts! Heaven gained a beautiful Angel on April 1st 2023.
