Delia (Strong) Capie
Obituary
Delia Strong Capie was born in Brownsville Texas on March 5, 1938. She was the oldest of 13 children. She sang and danced her way through school and was the mambo queen in 1956. She joined the United States Air Force, and proudly served her country, and was discharged honorably.
She met and married the man of her dreams in 1958. They traveled the world as he was a navy officer and she was a make up artist for many prestigious, makeup companies. When they retired, they motor homed across the United States. They called not only California home, but they also called Georgia home. She’s been a proud resident of Dahlonega since 2016.
Succeeded in death by husband Donald J. Capie; daughter Debra L. Capie
Survived by son James A. Rosser; daughter Donna J. Jackson, Dan M. Jackson; son Donald J. Capie, Martha Capie; daughter Delia J Capie-Gill, Thomas R. Gill; and many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren.
