David Gerheim

David Harry Gerheim, 76, of Dahlonega, Georgia, joined our Lord Thursday, November 17th, 2022. 

Dave was born in Washington D. C. on June 22nd, 1946. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Alyce Gerheim. Dave is survived by his brother John, (Wendy) of Mobile, AL, nephew Jordan, (Johana) of Mobile, AL, niece Lindsey, of Washington D.C., and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Dave graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. degree in Hospitality Management, was an ardent Seminole fan forever, and a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He worked for Burger King Corporation, and afterwards was an operations manager for a multi-unit BK franchisee in Philadelphia. Later Dave owned and managed a variety of successful retail businesses. An avid sports fan, Dave played both baseball and football at Southwest High School in South Miami, Florida. He loved memorizing any and all player and team sports statistics. Dave would be described by many as a really nice guy who would go out of his way to help you any way he could. 

A celebration of Dave's life will be held at the Dahlonega Funeral Home, 20 Gibson Road, Dahlonega, Georgia, on January 7, beginning at 11 AM. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in Dave's honor.
