David C. Fox of Dahlonega, GA died January 26th, 2023 after a long battle with several illnesses. David was born on October 18, 1956, and his family moved from Michigan to Iowa before settling in Joliet, IL where he grew up. David was an avid golfer and a loving family man. He also loved music, was a lifelong fan of “Da Bears”, and an expert breakfast chef. David worked in the mortgage industry for more than 20 years before retiring due to his health. He will be remembered for his joyful smile, a song on his lips, and his huge heart.
David was preceded in death by his parents Mary Joan “Momma Jo” and Melvin Douglas Fox as well as his first wife Therese Ellen Fox.
David leaves behind his siblings Barbara Fuller, Gary Fox, Brad Fox and their families, as well as his wife Debra Fox. He also is survived by his seven children Clair Williamson, Elyse Berninger, Valarie Ikhwan, Monica Shelby, Benedict Fox, Rita O’Grady, Dominic Fox and their families. David was also blessed with 13 grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Dawsonville, GA on Friday, February 3rd at 11am. Following the Mass, the funeral procession will proceed to the graveside and then a reception will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. All are welcome to attend.
