Carl Kaltenbach

December 19, 1957 ~ September 17, 2020 (age 62)


Carl David Kaltenbach, 62, passed away on September 17, after an extended illness. Carl was born
December 19, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His high school years were spent in Lisbon, Ohio,
where he loved and played football for Beaver Local. Carl’s travels took him to CO, AZ, CA, HI and finally
to North Georgia, where he settled in to work his magic as a carpenter and woodworker; leaving his
skillful mark everywhere. Carl enjoyed spending time with family, friends, golfing, helping others and
had a love of animals.
Carl was pre-deceased by his sister, Faith Fisher (Ed), of Lisbon, OH, brother, Scott Kaltenbach, (Rhonda),
of Yulee, FL, and his father, Robert Kaltenbach (Sally), of Sautee, GA. He is survived by his mother, Sally
Kaltenbach, Sautee GA, brothers, Eric Kaltenbach, of Sautee, GA, Bret Kaltenbach (Rebecca), of
Buchanan, MI, and sisters, Lynn Fernald (Brad), of Helen, GA, Robin Kuhn (Randy), of Lisbon, OH, and
Kris Gaston (Dwaine), of Sautee, GA. Carl also leaves behind, 15 nieces and nephews, 30 great-nieces
and nephews, and 2 great great-nieces and nephews, who he loved and was proud of.
The family would like to thank First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland, for their loving support during this
time. Thanks also goes out to our local EMS, for their respectful and kind services.
No memorial services are planned at this time. Memorial donations can be sent to the Charles Smithgall
Humane Society Inc. of Sautee, GA.
